About me
I'm Olena Moloda, a Ukrainian artist. For the past 12 years, I have been working to create a living fluid that combines properties such as transparency, fluidity, volume, and gloss. I call it "MOLTEN GLASS," which is not a literal glass or usual paint, but rather a chemical compound that consists of several types of liquids, solvents, plasticizers, and color pigments. It's very important to have the right cooking temperature and respiratory protection to create this fluid.
For me it is an interesting symbiosis of several styles such as abstract expressionism, minimalism, impressionism, and conceptual art. However, at the same time, my paintings are sharply pulled out of the framework of each of them. That's why it's always hard for me to answer the question of which is my style. I earlier tried to explain that it's at least four different styles combined together, but it always takes so much time. That's why I decided to call it "Moltenism."
