Description
Breaking Into Light is an original contemporary abstract painting filled with contrast, material depth, and explosive movement. Broad passages of warm blush and earthy pink move across a pale aqua field, while vivid orange rises through the composition like heat, flame, or new life breaking through a surface.
At the centre, darker green and mineral tones create visual weight and tension. Around them, the composition expands outward through layered texture, translucent color, raw edges, and energetic marks.
The painting does not depict a fixed object. Instead, it captures a moment of transformation—the instant when something contained can no longer remain still. It may suggest a flower opening, a geological rupture, a body in motion, or energy emerging from beneath the surface.
